The coffee is sourced from Ruiru 11, SL 28, and SL 34 varietals, grown in Central and Upper Eastern Kenya. It is fully washed and grown at an altitude of 1,550 – 1,750 meters above sea level.

Kahawa as its known in Swahili is its ‘black gold’ and provides for 75% of the area’s income. Production in Embu is the domain of cooperatives and the area is famed for producing some of the highest quality coffee in Kenya. Cup profile: sweet lime, caramel, milk chocolate, velvety mouthfeel. Brew: grind 60g of gourmet beans as fine as brown sugar crystals. Put into your machine / percolator. Add 1 litre of freshly boiled spring water at 85 degrees centigrade and wait for around 4 minutes before serving.
