The wine shows an attractive lemony yellow-green color with a complex nose of citrus, peach, tropical fruit, and mineral tones. The palate is long and full with delicate wooding. Beautifully refined and elegant. This is the third year that entirely Estate-grown grapes have been used in the making of the Premium Chardonnay. The vineyards were cropped at 6.5 tons/ha – 40% of the grapes were barrel fermented and the rest in tanks. The Vergelegen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2020 is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot grapes sourced from the renowned Paarl region in South Africa. This wine shows a rich and full-bodied flavor profile with dark fruit, spice, and a hint of berries. It has a smooth tannin structure and a long, velvety finish. Enjoy it with grilled meats or robust cheeses.

The Hesketh Art Series wines represent the best of our home state, South Australia – one of the most celebrated and dive...
The Hesketh Art Series wines represent the best of our home state, South Australia – one of the most celebrated and diverse growing regions in the world. Grapes for these wines are sourced from only premium growing regions in South Australia which are best suited to each wine style. The wines are then blended before bottling to a fresh, fruit driven style which is perfect for everyday drinking or more salubrious occasions. Sourced from 12 year-old-vines in Southern Coonawarra, our 2016 Lost Weekend Chardonnay was picked during the last week of February, slightly earlier than the 2015 vintage. Following picking, the fruit was closed-top fermented and spent four months on lees – the extended time on lees has created a toasty complexity which brings an extra element to the final wine. Lost Weekend is a fresh and vibrant style of Chardonnay which will reward short to medium term cellaring. Best shared with a large group of friends over a big haul of freshly caught seafood! TASTING NOTES: Colour: Pale lemon with flecks of green. Aroma: Lifted nose of cumquat, toast and a hint of burnt honeycomb. Palate: Complex palate showing fresh lemon and stone- fruit notes with crisp acidity, some biscotti and a creaminess on the finish. Food Match: Crumbed fish sliders with homemade slaw and lemon mayo.

A great white wine. Background: Fruit for our Bright Young Things Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from premium cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and Robe sub-districts of South Australia. Cool climate fruit produces crisp and lively Sauvignon Blanc with intense aromatics and a clean fresh palate. After picking, the parcels of fruit were inoculated with pure yeast strains in stainless steel tanks to ensure a bright and fresh style of wine. The juice was then fermented to dry before blending, fining, filtration and final bottling. Tasting Notes: Colour: Bright pale straw with hints of lime. Aroma: Fragrant and lifted aromatics of freshly picked passionfruit, with an herbaceous edge and some hints of lemon and granny smith apple. Palate: Fresh, crisp and clean palate with citrus fruits all nicely integrated with riper flavours filling out the middle palate, before a persistent, vibrant and racy finish. Food Match: Thai soft shell crab. Cellaring: Best enjoyed when young and fresh.

The wines are then blended before bottling to a fresh, fruit driven style which is perfect for everyday drinking or more salubrious occasions. Our 2017 Wild at Heart Rosé is made up of the free-run juice from Petit Verdot and Shiraz grapes. The fruit was picked at optimum ripeness, before resting on skins for 19 hours to obtain just the right amount of colour. Fruit was fermented in stainless steel to produce a bright, aromatic Rosé with a lively and vibrant flavour profile. The fermentation was allowed to proceed almost to dry, to retain the clean fruit flavours, steely acidity and provide a fresh, persistent finish. Tasting notes: Colour: Pale rose petal pink. Aroma: Lifted and fragrant – fresh strawberries, raspberries and a hint of citrus. Palate: A fresh and vibrant palate bursting with zesty acidity. Raspberry notes are prominent alongside hints of pink grapefruit and a lovely fruit sweetness. Dry and moreish finish. Food Match: Refreshing – and perfect – on its own. Cellaring: Best enjoyed when young and fresh, or up to 2 years if you really have to.
