The wine shows an attractive lemony yellow-green color with a complex nose of citrus, peach, tropical fruit, and mineral tones. The palate is long and full with delicate wooding. Beautifully refined and elegant. This is the third year that entirely Estate-grown grapes have been used in the making of the Premium Chardonnay. The vineyards were cropped at 6.5 tons/ha – 40% of the grapes were barrel fermented and the rest in tanks. The Vergelegen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2020 is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot grapes sourced from the renowned Paarl region in South Africa. This wine shows a rich and full-bodied flavor profile with dark fruit, spice, and a hint of berries. It has a smooth tannin structure and a long, velvety finish. The Family’s other Châteauneuf! Les Sinards comes from the young vines at Beaucastel and from a neighboring vineyard that we farm. This 2017 vintage will be remembered as the year of all records: the driest year in 30 years, non-interventionist vineyard work, optimal harvest conditions, a very small yield due to climatic hazards, and wines with very rich potential. Elegant and intense Ruby-red colour. The nose is delicate, with notes of red fruit, chocolate and sweet spices. Perfectly balanced, the silky mouth develops aromas of strawberries and ripe plums and finishes with a beautiful length.
